Practice of Sedition
In a world built upon a foundation of conflict, the past year has been notably violent. As Crux Fidelis, the Crusaders and ruling faction of Sium, suffer heavy losses from a particularly bloody Aphelion, other factions are emboldened to take action. Despite being allies, Weltschmerz's ambitious and duplicitous nature sees them taking bigger risks which threaten to break their alliance. All the while, Apocrypha continues to gain public sympathy and support while the Black Sun Cabal and Poena Damni continue to wreak havoc. As Sium races towards yet another conflict, it’s evident that a war lurks on the horizon.

Claws - Naturally Japhet has much longer, sharper, and pointier nails than a human. They're also strong and durable, able to easily cut skin. They're also retractable so they don't look as obvious in broad daylight. They change into standard claws in his wolf form.

Fangs - Japhet's teeth are sharp both in his standard form and his wolf form. Can bite through most objects other than unarmored/not durable flesh and Bellicosa.
Werewolf Physiology - As a werewolf, Japhet is faster, stronger, and more agile than a human. He is also able to transform between a human form or his wolf form. In addition, his hearing, sight, and sense of smell are heightened compared to a human being.

Potion Master - With a century's worth of knowledge on several different medicines, poisons, and other concoctions, Japhet is a master at detecting different substances and potency by smell and sight. He is also able to create his own medicines and salves to help those in his pack, and also his own poisons to use on unsuspecting enemies.

>Japhet also has almost a century's worth of medicinal knowledge as one of the pack's healers, so he can easily identify several pressure points, node locations, along with being able to properly treat wounds and infections.

Lethal Tempo - Japhet controls his anger to a certain point. Once his anger reaches a threshold, he enters a berserk-like blind rage state, unable to listen to reason or make conscious decisions. In this state, his physical attacks are much stronger than normal. The only two known ways to calm him down is to wait for him to suffer a coughing fit or to douse him with water.

A normally amicable person, Japhet tends to speak highly of his current pack, refusing to go in depth about his past, even going so far as to say that he belonged in this pack in the first place. Those he first meet, he holds with high respect as others have shown towards him. Often being sick though, he enjoys holding conversations when he's not doing cult or medicinal things. He claims it helps him relax and keeps his anger levels in check.
Weakness was not tolerated. In the group he once called family, he knew that much was certain. Unlike the rest of his five brothers, Japhet was born with a white sheen and crimson eyes, a sign that he was going to be problematic in his life. No sooner after he was born did he have trouble breathing, his lungs not fully developed after his birth. Despite this setback, his mother did all she could to secretly nurture him to good health so that he wouldn't be outcast.

And it certainly worked for a while.

Up until a heavy blizzard struck, and two of his brothers had come down with a mysterious illness. Despite recovering from the setbacks of his birth, Japhet was quick to contract the illness, coughing up blood to the point where it hurt to breathe. Unable to fight off the sickness like the rest of his brothers, his father left him to die in the snow of Seracier, weakened by the illness. The strong were highly valued and the weak were left to die. Japhet was ready to accept that fact. After all, nobody truly wanted a walking corpse. At the same time however, he didn't wish to die. At a tender age of 10, there was still much in the world that he wanted to accomplish.

And fate indeed had plans in store for him when he was on the brink of death, the sounds of distant voices of two females. Both he had no idea whom they were. Much of the event passed quickly, a near hazy memory in his mind, but when he came to, he was being treated, already feeling miles better than he initially felt. He was told to rest for a while longer before being officially taken into the pack.

Life in the pack was hard for Japhet at first; he didn't know whether or not he fit in, and whether or not he should leave, but the fact of the matter was his life was saved by the pack leader and the flesh mender, who he recognized as Rikke and Clarke respectively. Since the day he was saved, he was indebted to Rikke and did his best to study medicine and potion-making under Clarke.

Not everything was perfect though. Despite recovering from the mysterious illness, he would find himself under a coughing spell once in a while, sometimes still coughing up blood. The first time it had happened, he feared the disease had come to run its course again, but under careful evaluation, he discovered that the sickness left a scar on his lungs, likely never to heal.

On one fateful night, Japhet was sent on a hunting patrol with several of the more senior hunters. Japhet was sure to be careful to follow the directions of his superiors, but one thing led to the next and the patrol was forced to run from several pelt hunters. It was then that he suffered from a coughing fit. Too weak to flee, he collapsed, one of the hunters driving a knife down his back. Miraculously, he managed to escape, never quite understanding how he managed to, but the last thing he remembered was returning to the camp bloodied and weak, a mix of both his own and the hunters' blood coating his fur. For a long while he wouldn't understand the frequent memory gaps until he asked one of the pack members to forcibly restrain him and hurt him as much as possible. He didn't remember the events that transpired, but his brethren told him all he needed to know about his powers.

Since then, Japhet has spent most of his days developing new treatments and new poisons. Since the recent integration with the Black Sun Cabal, he has been working to train himself with both other acolytes and some training dummies to try to be able to hunt properly without succumbing to his condition, though it will take much time before such is possible.
