Practice of Sedition
In a world built upon a foundation of conflict, the past year has been notably violent. As Crux Fidelis, the Crusaders and ruling faction of Sium, suffer heavy losses from a particularly bloody Aphelion, other factions are emboldened to take action. Despite being allies, Weltschmerz's ambitious and duplicitous nature sees them taking bigger risks which threaten to break their alliance. All the while, Apocrypha continues to gain public sympathy and support while the Black Sun Cabal and Poena Damni continue to wreak havoc. As Sium races towards yet another conflict, it’s evident that a war lurks on the horizon.

weapons
[ Chaton - Bellicosa ] - When inactive, her bellicosa is a red rose shaped cuff link, normally pinned on her right side.

It has three stages of activation. At stage one, her entire arm is covered in a red and black metal that is is able to shape into any weapon that is normally held with one hand, including spears, whips, swords, and knives. The weapons stay attached to her arm and do not extend out more than ten feet from her.

At stage two, the metal extends across her back and to her other arm, allowing both of her arms to transform into different types of weapons instead of the one. The metallic space across her back has 8 spikes with bent joints halfway down them rise from the area and act as new sets of legs, raising her body 8 feet above the ground and allowing her to climb up any not-slippery surface. She has troubles with objects that have been iced over and slopes that have been watered. She can attack with the spikes as well as her arms. The spikes are 16 feet long when fully extended. She is able to run ten times the amount a normal human can run, and the spikes can pierce at 10 ton strength, but can lift only 1/100th of that.

At stage three her entire body is covered in the metals, giving her head a spider-like helmet and her legs the same properties as her arms. In this form her durability reaches it's maximum potential, only allowing items that can break through bellicosa to pierce her. She still gets hurt by normal hits, and any clashes with metal will cause a painful noise to vibrate through her entire bodysuit and immobilize her for seconds at a time. She has to enter the stages in order, and must actually allow the metals to form the other sides of her body before the transformation is complete. She has difficulty forming the metals while she is in battle.

[ Normal Weapons ] She uses an all silver rapier and a silver crossbow when her Bellicosa is inactive.

personality/fun facts
Marianne's life is driven by her desire to be an emotionless human weapon. She is great at pretending that that is what she is, but on the inside her emotions are a wreck. She constantly craves the attention of those around her, but tries to not let it show. Tries, being the keyword.

She's lonely, but too awkward to do anything about it. She will never question those who have any authority over her, and even others who just seem confident enough in their decisions. She will only be hostile if someone is not part of Crux Fidelis and is acting up. She doesn't care for group titles, or anything of the likes. She classifies people into three groups: Enemies, Civilians, and Allies.
backstory
Marianne was born into a rich family as their first and only child, but they died before her first birthday. They had no families of their own, so she was left with nowhere to go. She grew up assuming her life had no meaning and she was only born to suffer, which made her a pretty grim child that no one wanted to adopt. Her not being adopted did nothing to help her outlook on life.

She stayed in an orphanage until she was recruited into Crux Fidelis at 14. She was grateful to be in a group with a purpose, finally allowing her to be more than just the weird orphan child.

She did her best to practice with her Bellicosa and be a good asset to the group she knew to serve. She wanted to be as useful to them as she possibly could, and if she had no use to them anymore, then she felt she could do the honorable thing and end her life. At 16, she was able to inherit the mansion and fortune her family left her, but she had no use for it. She felt she was simply an object in human form and didn't deserve anything the make her life easier. She just wanted to be a weapon and nothing more.

Marianne spent more than ten years doing her best to lose all of her emotions and learn to kill on command, but it was lonely for her. She pushed away everyone she knew, yet secretly wanted them to be with her. Her being a weapon was also a pretty tiring job. She was far from being one of the strongest in the Cross, so she had to try and make up for what she lacked in strength with spirit.
