6 feet 1 inch.
hades// from olimpos.
generally well-dressed. the faceclaim is a rough reference only and llywarch does not have horns or fur in his day-to-day engagements.
as a demon, llywarch is blessed with a few basic physical parameters that render him hard to deter using normal means. he has the strength, speed, and general constitution of someone who is hard for humans to match up to, and is capable of short bursts of physical feats that are genuinely supernatural. and while he is not indestructible, when it comes down to it, he doesn't really seem to take the concept of vital points as anything more than a suggestion on how much pain to be in - stabbing him in the eye is about just the same as stabbing him in his big toe.
however, as a demon who preys on weakness, llywarch's strength is mainly based in the use of illusions.
at a base level, llywarch is capable of conjuring images that confuse the senses - bewildering sights, distant sounds, flashes of pain that come from nowhere. these illusions, however grand, are just that - falsehoods that distract or entertain.
however, an extension of his powers is that as long as llywarch can slip in the doubt that his illusions are real, he can manifest them as genuine reality. this generally needs to be done in a gradual manner, starting smaller and eventually building trust in his conjurations - which becomes harder the more people he is dealing with. this is why he prefers to single out people rather than confront them in groups.
in battle, llywarch uses this to a variety of effects. he can boost his own strength or that of others. he can cast a variety of damaging spells that cause very real damage. despite the wide scope of his powers, he tends to stick to a few tried and true methods rather than get too exploratory or creative in an emergency.
there are limitations to his skills. he can't create life - any sentient summons he makes using his powers is merely an empty husk embodying only a couple of key traits. his creations also generally fade once out of his immediate presence. additionally, particularly strong-willed individuals (or indeed, those lacking in creativity) are less susceptible to his powers. anyone who has deep knowledge of how his powers work are also immune to him partially (though not completely, it is possible, but as even when knowing something is fake, discounting its effects completely is often not a hundred percent feasible).
as the scavenger of babylon, llywarch preys upon the weak as targets of his corruption. he generally approaches the dying and infirmed, or those who are on the verge of mental ruination, and offers them a sort of release and salvation in the form of conversion to his kind.
for this task, he may spend weeks or even months following the object of his current interest, ingratiating himself into their lives and in some cases, becoming a genuine, reliable presence. meanwhile, he keeps the option of accepting his invitation an open offer, and to him, getting his victims to agree to it is much more of an accomplishment than forcing it upon them.
strangely, llywarch does not generally employ any manner of trickery or dishonesty for this process. he is seldom condescending, tries to be as direct and aboveboard as can be, and treats it more as a sort of negotiation rather than exploitation. he lays it bare in no terms uncertain that in exchange for casting off the shackles of your humanity, you will be rewarded with power, freedom, and nigh-complete control over your ownexistence as long as you roam this world, at the possible cost of the eternal, agonising damnation of your soul.
if you care about that sort of thing.
a wandering existence, known to few, yet deeply entrenched in the lives of those he had touched.
his defeat at the hands of the Greater Evil was not so much a conflict as it was an event. it happened, he fought, he was defeated, and at the precipice of his extinguishing he was granted something more, for which he was grateful.
in terms of his kind, he has not lived for a particularly long time, and in this span he has mostly explored the world as a human would, save for when he answered the callings of his true nature. he is mostly, a very subtle being who doesn't draw attention to himself, and he is seldom hunted because he only makes himself known to those who he feels would want his presence, even if only subconsciously.
