Waking up in the Alptraum wasn't something new for Magus. He had been there more times than he could count simply because he couldn't not choke on his own blood and die. It happened so often, yet the feeling was always a painful shock each time. He sighed and stared at the red sky. It was slightly embarrassing that he died while practicing music. It was even more embarrassing that the damn guitar was still in his hands when he died. He didn't expect it to go with him, but it made sense that it did. If his clothes went with him, it'd make sense for whatever he was holding to do the same.
He sighed and looked at the scenery. He was close to what seemed to be a lake, but the water was blood red and smelled like rotting flesh. Surprisingly, this didn't bother him. He had grown used to the smell, and somehow even grew fond of it. "Whatever," He sat in what he thought could pass for grass. It looked and smelled like it had been scorched by some flame previously, but the looks were a sharp contrast to the feel. The ground was unnecessarily soft considering the location.
He had to be there for quite awhile, so he may as well not waste his time. He promised to take up a musical hobby, so why not get started? It wasn't as if anyone was there to hear him, and wandering around would only cause him pain. Magus crossed his legs and began plucking on the guitar strings at random. To be frank, it sounded like shit.
Every pluck of the guitar strings made him more glad that no one was actually listening. He was pretty embarrassed at how terrible he was, but practice makes perfect. Everyone had to start somewhere.
