Kadoc Zemlupus (Fate/Grand Order)
Lorcan has several scars of bite marks on his arms, shoulders, and legs.
Even in his human shape, Lorcan’s teeth are nothing to scoff at. He is still fully capable of drawing blood from a bite. However, in his wolf form his teeth can potentially break bones.
While the strength of a wolf primarily lies in their teeth, Lorcan does have tougher and sharper fingernails that can be used to some effect in a fight.
Lorcan is quicker and stronger than the average human. His senses are heightened, allowing him better hearing, sight, and sense of smell. He is far superior to a human being. While shifting between human and wolf form is painful, he can do so at will.
During a full moon, Lorcan’s superior senses and abilities are further enhanced. However, it comes at the cost of reason. Lorcan will lose his inhibitions during a full moon, driven primarily by instincts.
Lorcan has been raised to expect the worse. Hope hasn’t been completely crushed for him, not yet, but he’s shy to believe the best of others. He constantly second guesses others’ intentions, but he’s not used to dealing with liars, far more used to people being upfront in their distaste for him. He can’t really imagine anyone going through the effort of lying to him. It’s not like he has anything people would want from him. He’s just a werewolf born of a human mother and neither side wants him, so why would anyone else?
At least, that’s how Lorcan thinks. He doesn’t wish to be something else because that would be pointless to wish for the impossible. He’s not quite bitter about the lot life has for him, more tired and resigned. Being bitter implies that he deserves more, and Lorcan has seen too much casual cruelty to believe there is any inherent things that a person is entitled to. The world is cruel that way.
Despite this, Lorcan has a kindness to him that can’t be extinguished. It’s mostly seen around children, but occasionally it will show around others as well. He can’t stand to see others suffer, and he always wants to help out. Perhaps a part of him wants to rescue others like no one ever rescued him.
Lorcan longs for companionship, for a pack, but he knows better than to think that anyone would accept him. The past has shown him that, and he doesn’t think that anyone else will be any different.
Lorcan has never been a particularly fortunate soul. His father left his mother before he was born, and then his mother died giving birth to him. His mother’s relatives reluctantly took him in, only to give him to his father when he finally made an appearance. They were human, and it was becoming evident that Lorcan was not, and they hardly wanted anything to do with a nonhuman.
His father resented the burden of a son to take care of, and he made sure that Lorcan knew that during the few days that Lorcan was with him. However, his pack wasn’t much better. Lorcan was a smaller than average wolf as a child, and he was commonly referred to as “the runt”. He was treated poorly by the wolves of his own age, who often roughed him up in spars beyond the point of acceptable damage. However, none of the adults intervened, considering it the fault of his own weakness as the child of a human.
Lorcan grew up with not a single friend, targeted by those his own age. He eventually grew out of his runt status, but by that point he was already an established target. It actually got worse as he grew older. The only peace he found was in taking care of the pups of the pack, who didn’t yet know to hate him. They could play rough sometimes, but they never were purposefully cruel.
By the time it deteriorated beyond what he could stand, Lorcan left the pack, unable to stand anymore. Being alone was worse in some ways, though, and he quickly had to learn to fight as a lone target for demons. He lives as he has to to survive, avoiding major cities except when absolutely necessary.
