A nubby stub on her forehead that could be considered a horn should one feel generous enough to call it so and a long serpentine tail covered in iridescent russet scales. More often than not the enchanted bracelets on her wrists and ankles does a good enough job hiding her... Supernatural qualities. That being sad, it does nothing to hide the smooth scales scattered around the upper part of her arms, shoulders and legs.
A hooded cape and shorts hide their existence fairly well. Hell, her surprisingly large wardrobe practically revolves around covering them up. If only she could do something about her eyes... They're not just blue. They're blue. It's as if someone gathered very blue item they could find, shoved them into a press so they could extract the very essence of blue out of them. And then, only on the night of a blue moon, they take this essence and for whatever reason forge it into a set of eyes.
Okay perhaps that was a little dramatic but her eyes do possess this eerie quality that isn't entirely normal. They glow bright with the sillage of an ancient bloodline.
A black staff that was given to her by her mother. While it doesn't appear to possess any latent abilities itself, it does serve as a conduit for Minuet's magic.
The result of a magically adept yet musically inept girl wanting to take after her mother. Twelve in all, they have no real defining shape outside of being circular masses that are about the size of softballs. Warm and surprisingly soft to the touch, these twelve seemingly sentient sillage clusters each possess their own individual pitch on the musical scale.
Minuet creates music worth listening to with a flick of her staff. Sonatas inspired from her mother are conveyed through her notes and actually creates a positive area effect for those within range. The range's radius is about 3 metres, a distance lined by her notes that flit around her.
What positive effects within that range is of her choosing so long as she chooses just one. Anything more will have the song spiral into a disastrous cacophony. Not a soul wants to sit through that. So for now, as long as she chooses one, her songs are capable of:
× Recovery acceleration
× Pacifying/Lulling (ooc permission required)
× Reducing the risk of injury/shielding allies
× Amplifying either physical or mental capabilities
× Invigorating the fatigued
× Luring attention (ooc permission required)
The effectiveness of her songs depend on the amount of sillage she uses. The more sillage pumped into a song, the greater the effect and its radius. That being said, the longevity of the effect decreases as it becomes strenuous to maintain a sillage-eating continuous spell. Songs and their effects, when not sillage pumped, last for about two minutes. Unless she was interrupted before, she is able to transition to another song of a different effect.
Desperation is neither a good look or sound for her. Dissonance occurs when Minuet's thoughts are nothing but a maelstrom of negativity. Unable to mentally convey her sound, her notes revert to something a little more malicious. Their bulbous forms become barbed from the negative energy that flows through them, the sound they create akin to crackling static. Though unable to create music, Minuet is capable of manipulating them. They're like floating controllable grenades that burst into electricity on impact.
Daughter of the Goat Horse Dragon Thing
Ahhh, the perks of one's human mother diddling a mythical beast. Minuet possesses a large sillage reserve thanks to her beastly half. She's also blessed with a sturdier body that isn't as susceptible to wounds and diseases.
Minuet inherited her father's resistances to magical attacks though physical attacks are a little more worrying. She's quick on her feet and impressively flexible by normal human standards with her bracelets on. When they're off, well, it definitely reaches inhuman standards.
An ability that only appears when her Qilin half isn't suppressed by her bracelets. The blood of a compassionate beast runs through her veins. Those near Minuet may be effected by an aura that eats away at malicious intent. She's pretty susceptible to It herself. It most likely won't stop someone who truly wants to stab her in the gut but it'll try. Minuet
Her blood has possesses healing qualities that doesn't discriminate. Once it makes contact or ingested, it will heal someone regardless of whether they're friend or foe. The potency of her blood varies on how much sillage she had used before. The lower her reserves, the less potent her blood is.
Minuet's view of the world is as baffling as the way she interacts with it. She moves to the beat of her own drum. A slow paced beat that doesn't adjust its tempo regardless of whatever pace the world sets. Perhaps this mindset of hers is a good thing. Maybe. It's hard to tell whether willingly disregarding the state of the world around her is a good thing or not. Ignoring the fact that everything is going to shit does help a girl retain her sanity. Maybe. It makes it harder for her to learn from her mistakes. She's niave, gullible, the sort to take candy from a stranger while jumping into the back of his van.
It doesn't help that she's not much of a talker either. She's awkward, quick to become embarrassed. Her main source of communication is through either her notes or, when even that isn't enough, sporadic hand movements. She's apparently terrible with words and would much rather look foolish physically than verbally. It makes no sense but it makes her feel better.
Even so, Minuet loves the idea of interacting with people. Stories about people that behaved differently from her mother fascinated her into dreaming about them. Songs her mother sang about her own experiences tickled at her imagination. She wants to know bout the people of those stories, entirely convinced that they're all good and filled with their own amazing stories. So she's kind to others, willing to be as patient as she needs to to get along with them.
She so desperately wants to make a connection others that she's willing to endure a lot for them. Or so she thinks. Her resolve has never been tested so there's no telling whether she's willing to take tons of abuse for the possibility of making a friend. It is possible. She had endured her own mother's magic for so long and still doesn't have the stomach to hate her. Her patience is resounding and her ability to forgive is a little... Much. She's kind and willing to heal anyone, even if they were to harm her first.
She's just that willing to believe that the world her mother sang about isn't nearly as bad as it makes itself out to be! She refuses to believe it.
By aside from this, she is a curious and whimsical young woman that enjoys spending her time learning about everthing. Everything's a marvel thus making her appear to be in a perpetual state of wonder. It's cute, if not a little annoying when she's constantly trying to relay questions about the littlest of things. If she doesn't get an answer or have no one to ask really, the bounties of self-preservation that she doesn't possess makes sure that she's walking head first into a situation.
... Though to give her credit she does do this when she's by herself. She appears to care about others a little more than she does herself. Opting to becoming a little more cautious about her actions. Kinda. She's still prone to doing what she wants when she's curious enough. At least when someone else is around, she's a little more willing about thinking before leaping.
